you see me in my fledgling state not sure of myself
sensing you know what you're doing I follow you
affectionate relief you give me peace

all of a sudden I feel confidence under my wings
but I'm trembling a bit
you watch on and you tell me you got this

if I fall you can't catch me
my heart soar
an angel with wings opens them
and takes flight

you smile with satisfaction
you knew I could
every one of us must do it solo
There is only so much we can do for each other

my mind lingers on you
facing your fears
you always stand tall

incarnation of wisdom
I'm learning, some of you
are further along in understanding
your solemn vow fills me with hope

it's not for us to know the future
I'll see you on the winds of fate
grateful I get to journey with you from time to time
