My First Love
The one who cared to any degree.
The one to set my burden free.
You were the first, to show myself to me.
My first love, you will always be.
All the water, may vanish from the sea.
The rain, & clouds may no longer agree.
Father time, might leave Mother Nature, absentee.
But my first love, you will always be.
Our paths forward, might disagree.
Past circumstances, we couldn't foresee.
One thing though, I guarantee,
My first love, you will always be.
