conversations with Luce

in my invited curse I miss your crooked smile
loved the way you would just show up, you joker
knowledge of your glory has reached me
I'm happy for you

come see me when you can
your entourage is interesting
the way you see things hilarious
I could use some cheer

Hollywood would be dead without you
an orchestra in my brain tells me you still sing
I used to be next to you singing soprano
barely chirp a tune now a days
smoke too much it's part of my religion

I know you're on the grid
I'm listening on all stations
love deciphering your codes

no don't tell me
you know I love surprises
some are quite thrilling

you know that's not my style
I know you've been here
I know when its you

in spite of the disguises
I am scarred in my soul
but I'll look the same
but I wonder if you were straightforward
would we get along?

you've hidden so much from me
I love you still
unconditionally but enough of this serious shit
I need to laugh man

you know how to get to me
your issue is trust with me
don't be a hypocrite tell me how it is
the worst has already happened
