The lady
How do I explain,
Truly,
The woman?
She is a study in wonder
I know she is much
Much more
Than merely lovely
Infinitely more
Than her body
Eyes like opals
In deep water,
Reckoning nothing
Of eons gone by
She is a galaxy
Of silk and wildfire,
The caress of a soft
Springtime breeze
And the vigour of
A hurricane
Her body is more than mere
Shapeliness
Her mind is like a chisel
In the greatest craftsman’s hand
Her laughter is
The lilt of Summer sunsets
And her eyes bright
As dawn on Winter snow
Her thoughts are
Courageous
And
Compassionate,
Unwavering good will
And
Fiercely tender
Her kiss
Like the sea breeze
Lures me,
Refreshes me,
Satisfies beautifully
How do I explain,
Truly,
The lady?
Truly,
The woman?
She is a study in wonder
I know she is much
