dreary

 
today is sadness lingering within
I am blue in the grey
emotions button up
they don't wish to speak
fear is a language they are fluent in
 
worry is their dialect
fading in the background
where their individual voices become a slow ache
 
beautiful day invite us into the garden
we will pick sunflowers
while we grieve we will impart wisdom to the trees watching
 
melancholy leads the way
she is patient with these emotions
I am hard on them asking they stay silent
 
leave me alone in my ashes and pain
I can't relieve the ache of loneliness
it's deep seeded in my soul
echoing my despair

catch a glimpse and scream
