Draugr

Held tight by midnight's grip

Rotted flesh packs long ships

Coming from where frost bites

Storied bones lost to light

Yggdrasil’s root to Hel’s dark gate

Bound by wyrd, the Norns' cruel fate

Runes adorn the burial stone

Heralding a trove of restless bones

Tattered banners and olden grounds

What lurks beneath the mounds?

Empty eyes devoid of Niflheim’s mist

Jormungandr's venom kissed

Desecrate Asgard's hallowed halls

Death of worlds the gods fall

Blood of Ymir stains their brow

As Seiðr’s spell begins to bow

The Einherjar fear their ghastly tread

For they are cursed, the restless dead

In Mímir's well, where wisdom seeps

The draugr wake from death’s deep sleeps

With Gjallarhorn’s call they march anew

Through forsaken where darkness grew

Helheim’s chill within their grasp

No mortal life escapes their clasp

Fenrir’s howl upon the wind

As ancient secrets they rescind

Beneath the moon  where runes align

They walk the path of fate’s design

With Ragnarok’s storm in every stride

The draugr rise, the deathless tide

From Muspelheim’s fire to icy strand

They scour the ninefold realms' expanse

Their legacy in shadows cast

The draugr’s curse forever lasts
