Cliche? Me?

You can't hurry art,
But time waits for no man or woman.
Although fools rush in
And don't look before they leap
Or stop in the name of love
All conquering love,
To stitch in time to save nine
Before feeling down in the dumps.
Now thats another nail in the coffin
That will be dead as doornail
Or dead as a dodo
Like a man or a mouse,
From ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Here today, gone tomorrow.
Best not used in the broth spoilt by too many cooks
Caught with their pants down
Judging a book by its cover
To coin a phrase,
Although thats not the sharpest tool in the shed
As its a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
And there's still more than meets the eye
And the more the merrier
They say.
But who is it who says such things?
Oh damn, me.
