Sore Loser

I know what it means to have loved
and have lost.

I never take it lightly—
simply because i hate to lose.
Now i see what happens when you snooze.

One misstep was all it took.
One minute i had you,
and now look…
I’m shook.
You’re gone, I’m gone..
Lost in the wind..
What happened to all of our plans?
What happened to my twin?

Not this shit again,
regretting rash decisions..
Feeling like a train wreck
Or a major car collision.
Wish i would’ve handled it correctly,
with more careful precision…
but I still let you go,
forgetting all our visions,
of a future we had planned to the end.
I’m learning….
That you can’t win em all.
You win some,
you lose some.
Or however the saying goes.
I’ve learned to lick my wounds in silence,
and to write poetry in the form of my woes..
