star girl
denial of my feelings leads to passion pouring into emptiness
unwept tears pushed so deep as to never see light
this is where I keep my humanity
I confess to the darkness
there is no better way
they grieve with me
my immortal demons
they have more love for me than any other
entertaining my thoughts
lilting songs of understanding
they sing gentle lullabies
for the misfit and awkward feelings I have
making a beautiful presentation of melancholy
they have faith in her to rise above the rest
stitching a dress from rejection
she is lovely, her bare genuine heart
she doesn't judge her differences
her sadness holds her sanity
mischief is in love with her
coaxing her to come from the shadows
a wallflower so pretty to look at
in her desires, she shines
grieving the loss of a child
the demons take great pride
delivering the fates a woman
where a dejected girl used to stand
peering into the mists much is expected of her
she shies at the thought
a lone star standing out in the sky
flying heavenward she is aware
this has always been her course
