My soulmate doesn't love me

Through my eyes, I see your eyes so deep,
Like twin souls on a bed of gold we'd meet.
Your words may whisper sweet seductive sleep,
But your heart beats truth and mine can't accept defeat.

In dreams, I see us age, a beautiful thing,
But when I wake, it's just my imagination fleeing me.
Yet my thoughts are trapped in a world never meant to be,
A bittersweet reminder of what could never be free.

You hold a special key that unlocks love's sweet refrain,
A soul that echoes through my mind.
Your heart doesn't beat for me, leaving me in pain,
My soulmate, lost, forever left behind.

Till eternity, I'll yearn for you, my heart's desire,
Forever crave, our place, sweet fire.
