Times Like These

I stepped out into the relaxed autumn,
to take in the colorful leaves that fallen.

Varieties of maple, oak, and pine rule the day.
Filling the land and sky with its beauty and vine.

It's inherited light breeze at sixty degrees,
gets me lost in this dream of nature's serene scene.

This pleasure seals me under covers of bluish
green.
Surrounded by pastures of golden brown,
and rosy, red shrubbery clusters.

Change in season, brings about icy rain if misty like freezing, and bitter.
Winds of mother nature pleasing.

Thinning bare trees, bony and frail, paint the way.
Symbolizing cold tidings and wool fittings,
throughout the wintry days.

Hot chocolate and warm fires are where to stay.
Taking in the snow filled view, and cosmic night sky.

Coursing throughout the coming months,
building snowman, playing with children,
sitting to family gatherings, reminiscing about
various loving memories, and football parties.
A truly grand life we lead.

From fall to winter, such a pleasure, can't be measured.
Despite chilly discomforts, dreadful driving conditions, hold no candle to times around the table and thankful prayers.

For all we keep, and forever esteem, in times like these.
