In the Shadow of Mortality

In the shadow of mortality, we dance,
In the embrace of desire, we question our existence.
Our endings loom as whispers amidst cries of ecstasy,
Yet we seek the eternity in moments of passion.

Sustain her, O Giver of Breath, for the joy she brings,
Let her remain, a testament to beauty and human desire,
Until the fullness of her days find their ripened fruit
Preserve her radiance, that she may go in peace to the earth.

Our writhing bodies are a chorus of adoration,
To You, Architect of rapture and all human delights.
In our fervor, we honor the creation of Your hands,
In our coming, we celebrate the mystery of Your design.

I know a couple who are very much in love even after many years. This "psalm" seemed like something the man might say.
