AI of the beholder
I told AI to make me hot
submitted a recent picture
...& it didn't
best it could do was enhance my cleavage
smoothing out my skin a little
hitting my blemishes with an eraser
plastic effect sculpting
don't get me wrong...
I appreciate the free facial
removing bruising under my eyes
night of the damned not being in fashion
I get that
but I actually loved my freckles
& the system saw fit to delete them
crazy
should I feel cheated
or take it as a win
if that's all it saw in need of fixing...
maybe I was simply too great a challenge...
or is it just having a laugh...
at my expense
but...either way
I guess I like me
...as is...
more than I had expected
might be an important message...
AI can't perfect shit
only I...
can properly fine tune this
having a little fun with an AI program & learning a thing or 2 about artificial perfection...

This is so insightful willow. AI scares me really. Before it became a thing there was a few movies where the AI became more evolved and we were obsolete. Love this piece. Fia xoxo

It freaks me out too but it settles me some to see how it "thinks." And it was a learning experience. But I'll be leaving it alone now that I've tested it out. Creepy...

I never understood the need to photoshop much less use AI! I've seen people out in public I barely recognized because I'd seen their ps'd avatar for years!
We are what we are: a beautiful truth. Keep being you, freckles and all.

Photoshop...to me...is like those pump it up bras that add a cup size or whatever. False advertising. I want to be unfiltered in photos because I'm pretty unfiltered in life. 😂 Thank you so much for getting it

Ahavati said it best.
You’re beautiful, girl (I’ve seen you) and I love your face, freckles and all.

I wish photos could actually capture the real color of my eyes. It's my only aggravation. Always wanna turn them black. Other than that, I'll keep it unfiltered. Thank you so much, girl

AI is a dick. (But they did make your boobs look great). I am so over the perfect imagery of woman. And freckles are HOOOT.
You are perfect without AI.

Unfortunately AI is educating itself based on human perceptions filtered through social media. It can't know that's impossible & not normal. I'll keep my unfiltered self out of AI from here on out, thanks

Dear W,
Clearly AI needs some work. I loved your real photo. Maybe since you’re naturally pretty AI isn’t programmed to do much changing 🤷🏻♀️
I really appreciated the thought process of the poem though. I especially loved “I guess I like me
...as is...
more than I had expected” what a fabulous realization and outstanding message. This piece was a real “ah ha” moment for me because it solidified to me see how beautiful the real we versus the fake we really is.
Fab write. H🌷

Honoria, you had me grinning & blushing in the first part of your comment. Thank you. The whole point of this process was to learn how it worked. I wasn't expecting how it would affect my thoughts. We're all bombarded with social media & TV hype on "perfect" but in this process I realized I'm not now, nor will I ever be or desire to be...plastic. love me or leave me...as is. Thank you so much!

I'm on the freckle bandwagon.
When I was younger, I used to see all of the magazine covers and no
one had freckles.
It gave me a complex and I would try and find articles on
how to get rid of them with some sort of homemade potion.
That was before AI.
We all have insecurities but the best thing about age is perspective.
How it's unreal and unattainable. Even the supermodels get old.
And I'm digging your hair color!!! It's very Storm from the X-Men.
As a brunette I'd never be able to get that color without frying my hair.
I guess we get curious about the greener grass on the other side:)
Bravo to you on this write!
AI is a insensitive bitch!

My hair started going white at 14. At 40 I gave it free reign. Absolutely no regrets there. My ex asked me once what I do to it to get it so white & I said "Umm...I wash it..." I know women pay a lot of money now to achieve that color. I'm glad AI didn't decide to turn it blonde or some shit. But the freckles...I take offense at their removal. Thing with AI is it's "taught" by humans & social media. Rather a reflection on humans that it views differences as flaws. Thank you so much, Adelphina

As someone who never edits her photos, I don't understand AI, PhotoShop and other editing software. It makes people fake. Also: "a girl without freckles is like a night without stars" 💖 (freckles rock)

I was trained to edit portrait photography photos...remove glare from glasses, correct red eye, only that kind of thing. My roommate is obsessed with AI & I'm ferociously opposed. But I had to explore it to really understand it. It saddens me to know human behavior & belief teaches it how to think. It takes the worst of us & makes it part of its learning. And that's rather terrifying to me. Iwill stick to unfiltered photos, thanks. Freckles are the bomb, sis 💖

Freckles are cooooooool! They're like personal constellations! Thus, you are lucky!
Wanna know a secret? Literally everyone takes a bunch of pictures of themselves before they decide on one that is presentable. And even then, a little filtering may be added too.
We are who we are. And initial attractions do not last. Getting to know the person inside is what we all search for, after the glance.
Writers have a secret weapon. Our writings are hooks! Lol.
And AI will never, ever, run the world. Unless it can invent its own power source perhaps.
People have willpower, resilience, the ability to thrive on very little.
Plus there's pulse weapons that can zap AI into scrap, already in existence. Lol
Be you. Stay you. No one else is an expert at it except you.

I'm not particularly a fan of filters myself. I can't help thinking it's false advertising. What happens when the real me shows up with my laugh lines & freckles? Nah, I'll stick to my reality, thanks. Got my freckles from my mother...the rest is all German stock daddy! 😂
Thank you, Styxian
