A Judgement of Steel

The sovereigns and their lords

Beseech me to take up the sword

Of which I seeketh judgement

And take vengeance upon thine enemies

With honor bound, I tread this path,

To mete out justice, fury's wrath.

In shadows deep, my heart shall tread,

With steel in hand, by valor led.

Through battle's roar and clashing steel,

I stand as fate, their doom to seal.

For in this quest, my soul shall strive,

To see their foes no more alive.

Yet in the night, where silence reigns,

My thoughts doth dwell on bloody stains.

For vengeance wrought with cold, sharp blade,

Doth leave a soul in darkness laid.

O, spirits guide my hand and heart,

Lest I from righteous path depart.

Grant me the strength to justly fight,

And shield me from the endless night.

When dawn doth break on fields of red,

Let not my spirit fill with dread.

For justice served, and duty done,

I shall return with rising sun.

And though the world may call me cold,

Within my breast, a heart of gold.

For in this quest, for king and land,

I wield the sword with steadfast hand.
