Restraint.
The ants inside my brain
Never quiet when your around
When it gets too silent
My bones hurt with the thoughts of you
That are too heavy for my mind
When you are near
my body aches with wanting to be close to you
We are both going to die,
What’s the point in restraining ourselves?
Never quiet when your around
When it gets too silent
My bones hurt with the thoughts of you
That are too heavy for my mind
When you are near
my body aches with wanting to be close to you
We are both going to die,
What’s the point in restraining ourselves?

I may have read into this incorrectly, yet the impression I got was of a woman whose unholy desires for a man so forbidden, that they haunt her relentlessly from beyond the grave. An undead yearning that even the reaper could not kill.
Nice.

Yeah, I wrote this to give the impression that humans can bascically do whatever they want, yet it’s only their brains that are stopping them. The woman I wrote about is dealing with this uncontrollable love that is somewhat unhealthy fo her, and she is waiting to make a move, yet the other party is also feeling Somewhat the same way, and I conclude the poem with “we are both going to die anyways, so what’s the point in restraining ourselves” bascically meaning, everyone’s is eventually going to die, so you shouldn’t try and restrain yourself from pursuing the things you want.

The weakness here is almost enveloping
Having seen this in a friend I cared about makes it all the more haunting.
