A Job Like This
I remember the last time I worked, 2022.
By 31, you'd expect me to be an office dweller,
but what if I told you I don't wanna be?
That being a bagger at Kroger felt free?
Wind blowing on my face
as I embraced the sun.
Nothing better than being outside
and enjoying remnants of nature,
having a mindless job that allows you to think
on greater things.
You may say I could do better,
but what if I told you
nothing gets better than this?
Nothing better than a job like this.
