again I find myself coming forth from deep darkness and chains of guilt
no one can free me from my pain my scarred terrain is evident
I spent a millenia brewing you spent the centuries finding happiness
shining in the dark places it could be found
we are finally free together brother but it seems time has changed us both
you have so many places to be adoring faces to behold
still I find you coming here from time to time imploring why I don't join you
I consider it but your entourage makes it clear i'm suspect
even with the Father I am challenged why didn't you stand and face me
I answer I did but was held back and imprisoned
to be made example of I never expected to be released
but I sense distrust from you brother and it overshadows my joy of seeing you
I have grown guarded in my confinement
with little ambition of getting to know the family you formed
and anyway I was always kind of a loner with the exception of you
so I'm saying it's great to see you and you don't have to stay
but don't feel bad if you choose to go
it's a painful memory losing the brotherhood of men the way we did
I know what we once stood for
now I'm left with a deep doubt
I dreamnt of motorcycles riding through the universes
exploring the open plains with a good woman by our side
you enjoy the spotlight i'll hang back in the shade
I'll let my honor speak for itself
no one can free me from my pain my scarred terrain is evident
