I went back in time

 
I went back in time
deep under ground poetry
To find poem of mine
what did I find
a roller coaster ride
back in time
up and down round and round
yet one thing I found
love was always commend ground
we started with a blank page
a virgin dance floor a love was made
the hardwood was that first step
beneath those dim light
our hearts did dance
the two step and swing
we dance to everything
feeling we couldn't ignored
your hand on my shoulder
mine on your hip
moving smooth like ice skaters doing eights
you were like no one before
in silence the music , the wood floor  
an unspoken beauty in this moment
a story of two hearts hoping for one more
closing time wishing it couldn't  be
what we felt from that first two step
anew page for you and me
what was , was to day is a red letter day 
every breath we took that first night
every decision we made
every step changes
sounds deep, not really
my red letter day was in May
the first day of May to be clear
nineteen and eighty two  
my life change for the better
no matter the latter
still an angel gifted to me
in 2023 that beautiful woman loves me
a new dance no hard wood floor
that past is no more
yet one thing is for sure
she loved me as much maybe a little more
that night I decided to make her my wife
she is reflected in my poetry
her love means more to me
its true in the past not as deep
though deep enough to drowned
love was our life guard
her red letter day is found
every breath she takes
every decision she make
every step she takes
includes that deepening love for me
passionate in pleasing  me
finding pleasure in that giving
of this I will soon be penning
