Lessons in steel

I had a house
built out of steel

and people were
always welcome,

it didn't matter
what is was for
or how long it
had been since
they last visited

nowadays, I feel
like my body has
turned into that
steel house,

it doesn't matter
why they require
my shelter, doesn't
matter how long it's
been since they
last visited,

it doesn't matter
where we are
as we travel
on this earth,

this body too
is a home, there's
a fire waiting for
hands to get
warm.
