Flown Away - with Grace

I guess I've been living in a bottle
turning my mind, odd fellow
to awake and find a feather
of a dove that's flown away

I know without you by my side
my shadow will fall and quake
I have sinned among the bottles
knowing I have tarnished our vows

of all the years and forgotten chores
listening to the devil make a fool of me
to awake and find a feather
of a dove that's flown away

the eastern sky blushes with the dawn
a new page opens a chapter written
the stories of the past are not forgotten
but adventures new embarked upon

the tears shed and regrets
inspire poems of woes
but embrace the laughter so joyous
welcome the dove with the hope of peace

whispers of love spoken
with peaceful intent bestow tranquillity
forever circles the Golden band
for two hearts can beat together afar
