Syntax and Semantics

There's nitty-gritty in our thought,
at least there ought to be,
but often it's a wad or knot...
resisting clarity.

And that's when thought could use a train,
of rail iron way,
chopping through the Gordian brain
to let it have a say...

since scatterbrain by scattershot
leaves yet another mess
of explication tommyrot
and Sherlock in duress!

The sleuth, you see, must have their track,
when heartache has the floor
for fear of more emotive flack...
when clues tell so much more.
