Rosario Island Priestess
Rosario Island Priestess
Cape Jasmine fragrance
Following a rosary of her island magic
Led by coffee complexion bride
Of the Rosario necklace of light
Upon South American surf
She tells the history of paradise
With her Latina brogue
Sunk deep in Spanish legend
A song from the heart of Cartagena
Where she haunted the twilight balcony
A silhouette in the dying sun
Serenaded by her Latino Romeo
On her maiden voyage into love
As she tied ribbons of moonlight
In her raven tresses
When Pisces seeds blossomed
Into her progeny of motherhood
We sound the fathoms of porpoises
With palm trees waving hello in the balmy breeze
On the fragrant shore for islanders
Seen like idylls from the long-lost utopia of Atlantis
Where a crystal blue aqua window
Opens to the hourglass sands
Drifting in the tides
Washed ashore onto the emerald ring
That welcomes us lonely seafarers
To the coconut trees of Eden
Where silken mattresses
Shaded by cotton canopies
Are a holy nest for travelers
In the sacred womb of heaven
Where cool ocean surf
Bathes me like a like a governess
In my natal years
Reborn into a new life
Until cresting waves
Divert our homeward passage
Into an ancient birth canal
Carved by tribal spirits
Deep in rainforest wonder
Upon our skiff
Under a maritime sky
Our mother of pearl guide
Sings us into a deepening river
Whose lush jungle caress
Is the bouquet of bougainvillea
In the citrus forest
Where our priestess of antique passion
Whose fruit is the orange
Is redolent with Eve
Cape Jasmine fragrance
Following a rosary of her island magic
Led by coffee complexion bride
Of the Rosario necklace of light
Upon South American surf
She tells the history of paradise
With her Latina brogue
