Lunistice
We had her Eden; I had my Eve;
and we had the Strawberry moon
who by a solstice would conceive
something like a glory typhoon,
and though she rose and travelled slow
it was to help the longest day
maintain its magic polar glow...
with summer's newest lunar ray!
It was all a glory hard to ignore
but one that every headstone gets to see
should the weather allow them to adore,
heaven, in its laurel magistracy...
as if to echo our honeymoon years
and blunt the sting...of cemetery tears.
