Night

I want to break out into the night
Go somewhere far from sight
Drifting into the absence of light
Beyond the reach of the fight  
 
Under the stars surrounded by peace
All the cares and worries come to cease
Hidden from the world, able to release
The company of shadows makes the anxiety decrease  
 
Stillness brings serenity to my soul
The solitude facilitates me gaining control
Free from the weight of playing a role
Recharging the energy that the daylight stole  
 
I'd try to keep moving to stay ahead of the sun
Living out the rest of my days on the run
Never worried about tomorrow cuz there would be none
All the stressing over the next day would be done  
 
I want to break out into the night
The only time that ever feels right
Where I truly have clearness of sight
And my passions are free to ignite
