The Foe We Have To Fight '' Sonnet ''
I am not your foe, but ignorance is
like a random shot, the darkness it hits
and so learn the principles and their ABC's
they soften the heart, they brighten the wits
I am not your foe, arrogance can be
like flying higher without any wing
but, heed, if the truth of the sun blinds thee
as too much pride hides the light as you sing
I'll not be your foe, but your mindset will
like shackles that pull you away from me
and so you have learned to hold the quill
nothing's thicker than ink of poetry-
I' m your friend regardless of any claim
any belief, any place, time or name
