The Sound of Rapture
I awoke this morning
and thoughts went directly to you.
The raging fires of passion that lingered between us
even across the span of the bluest ocean.
Your words still tickling every corner of my mind.
I cannot help but wonder do you feel me too?
Do you even grasp the depth of how you effected my heart?
The tempestuousness, the rage and rapture
that had no bounds.
The fiery embers that started to glow from no source
but a word spoken between us.
The torrent and the ire that had no choice but to crash
right into us like billowing waves of yearning.
The intensity, the sheer force apparently could not be handled.
For you disappeared in the wind
yet it still utters your name
in my mind.
It still howls through the chambers of my discontent heart.
The chalice still holds the elixir of your love.
My cup still holds the ambrosial sweetness you crave.
I know I still hear you rap on my chamber door.
Please
come
back
My
Love
I will let you in.
