Fluctisonant
Oh, my delirious putti,
why do you shy from rhyme?
Why do you shy from beauty
in syllables that chime?
Do they magnify desire
beyond your mortal ken,
or seconds that transpire
you'll never see again?
These are but scanty barriers,
like sky when wing beats pass,
whereby so many harriers
find sustenance in grass.
A valid rhythm waits for thee
to bear you on its wave,
away from base depravity...
when peace is what you crave!
why do you shy from rhyme?
Why do you shy from beauty
in syllables that chime?
Do they magnify desire
beyond your mortal ken,
or seconds that transpire
you'll never see again?
These are but scanty barriers,
like sky when wing beats pass,
whereby so many harriers
find sustenance in grass.
A valid rhythm waits for thee
to bear you on its wave,
away from base depravity...
when peace is what you crave!
