Should have went with your gut

A boy and a girl from the university drive home through a bad part of town at night
She told him to go this way,
claiming this was a shortcut to the neighborhood
He didn't agree but listened to her anyway
At a stop light, a rock smashes their windshield
The girl is startled
The guy gets out of the car and takes a look around
There is a gunshot
The bullet goes into his left thigh
He screams and falls down
Two teenagers approach the car
They shoot the boy one more time
This shot is the fatal one
Right between the eyes
The girl gets out of the car
The two teenagers look at her
She looks at them
She smiles, as she walks away with them
