Some day I'll shine

I watched  two people die in front of my eyes
Had no time to weep so I weeped  inside
It's hard to be strong when you dying inside 
Numbness takes over and time stands by
Is their  hope for you and me 
Only time will tell in this rhyme.

Sure I've seen better days in my life 
Waiting for that moment for me to shine bright
It's coming soon I can feel it
When everything will align 
When I'll be whole and not so blind
 
I take each day one step at a time
Still waiting for that one moment in time.
To define me as a person forged by time.
I'll be here with my head up
waiting on stand by.
