Spring Cleaning
A bright moment
In the stagnant darkness
You walk in
Holding my hair up
As I throw up all of the dirt
In my lungs
Giving me permanent smile lines
By making me laugh
Instead of clipping up my lips
Hoping to see my teeth
Stealing my tears
And using them to water
The vines and flowers
Sprouting from my heart
You gave me life
When I couldn’t myself
In the stagnant darkness
You walk in
Holding my hair up
As I throw up all of the dirt
In my lungs
Giving me permanent smile lines
By making me laugh
Instead of clipping up my lips
Hoping to see my teeth
Stealing my tears
And using them to water
The vines and flowers
Sprouting from my heart
You gave me life
When I couldn’t myself
