tortoise and hare (revised)

the real
reason
the tortoise
won his
race against
the hare,
 
while  
the hare
was so
far ahead,
he decided
to take
a nap,
 
the tortoise
came upon
the hare,
took
a stick
and bashed
the hare
in the
head,
 
after winning
the race,
the tortoise
called
his wife,
informing her
that he
 
would be
bringing
the hare
home,
and she  
should gather
ingredients
together
to make
her stew.

(after sitting
down
to enjoy
the stew,
no one
complained
about finding
a hare
in
the stew)
