Pencil
What's the point?
Of it all, if not more
To find and explore?
Surely not
Because eventually
There will be every map,
Every place marked exactly,
And nothing to continually enjoy.
The point on a pencil
Is the only thing that will matter
To the user trying to draw an ink splatter
If the pencil is dull, everyone will chatter
About the useless, dumb, pointless pencil.
How does that apply?
A pencil is not a person
Trying to survive
In a world without much reason.
The world is flawed and has many strange quirks
But I believe that a pencil without a point
Is useful to the right person, and still works.
Of it all, if not more
To find and explore?
Surely not
Because eventually
There will be every map,
Every place marked exactly,
And nothing to continually enjoy.
The point on a pencil
Is the only thing that will matter
To the user trying to draw an ink splatter
If the pencil is dull, everyone will chatter
About the useless, dumb, pointless pencil.
How does that apply?
A pencil is not a person
Trying to survive
In a world without much reason.
The world is flawed and has many strange quirks
But I believe that a pencil without a point
Is useful to the right person, and still works.
