Reckoning
The white moonlight washes over the desert
The world is so quiet
As the cactus flower blooms.
I am overwhelming
So I decide to have a reckoning
She looks at me with tears in her eyes
Skin so white
Just like the pale moonlight
I’ve seen those cracks and scars on myself
The bloody mouths
I feel the pain
And in turn, the pain feels me
The desert snakes burrow underground
Deep into the core,
the heart and the soul of the land.
The moon wants to leave me,
as it hides behind the tall mountains.
And I make a deal with the sun
To dry me out
Laying face down in the hot sand.
The scent of burning skin
A battle of the senses
This is where it all ends
Somewhere in the desert
In a Chaotic era of fury
The world is so quiet
As the cactus flower blooms.
I am overwhelming
So I decide to have a reckoning
She looks at me with tears in her eyes
Skin so white
Just like the pale moonlight
I’ve seen those cracks and scars on myself
The bloody mouths
I feel the pain
And in turn, the pain feels me
The desert snakes burrow underground
Deep into the core,
the heart and the soul of the land.
The moon wants to leave me,
as it hides behind the tall mountains.
And I make a deal with the sun
To dry me out
Laying face down in the hot sand.
The scent of burning skin
A battle of the senses
This is where it all ends
Somewhere in the desert
In a Chaotic era of fury
