Powdered Sugar
Keep this love note
as you would any
cherry coated message,
wrapped in a dusting
of powdered sugar…
Keep it beside
your cherry lip gloss
and the panties I left
in your drawer by the table
where you spread your legs
wide without asking, and you
opened your lips without knowing
how we tasted the same...
You on top,
me on bottom,
our faces buried
inside one another,
each of us savoring that
cherry flavor,
that powdered sugar crust
we leave behind
when the water recedes like waves
of a climax.
It’s like that salty rim
on your Margaretta,
begging for your tongue.
It’s like sipping your amber sunset -
that essence of lime
and sugar combined,
that buzz on your brain.
I’m so happy you came
in my mouth…
as you would any
cherry coated message,
wrapped in a dusting
of powdered sugar…
Keep it beside
your cherry lip gloss
and the panties I left
in your drawer by the table
where you spread your legs
wide without asking, and you
opened your lips without knowing
how we tasted the same...
You on top,
me on bottom,
our faces buried
inside one another,
each of us savoring that
cherry flavor,
that powdered sugar crust
we leave behind
when the water recedes like waves
of a climax.
It’s like that salty rim
on your Margaretta,
begging for your tongue.
It’s like sipping your amber sunset -
that essence of lime
and sugar combined,
that buzz on your brain.
I’m so happy you came
in my mouth…
