Where Auras Collide

There was no sparkle to the moon,
she sat there, pale,
beautiful as ever….
but she never sparkled,
not like she does now.

This coffee tastes sweet
but not for the sugar,
everything seems to have a
quality of colour that penetrates
me as we walk through ancient streets
where past lives meet…..

Each wave fought, and won with pride
the tide that tried to conquer and divide,
but our walls were too high
and foundations too deep,
and I prey, our hearts as one we keep.

The pages turn in our story,
written where recto becomes verso,
I don’t care if our Ink dries,
if the meters not quite right,
if the sun falls into the ocean
because there’s always twilight.

As long as there's us,
always a place to be,
where auras collide and
love remains,
always you and me.
