The Lady Blue (Torn Between Two Lovers)

I believed Gary when he said we were through so when he showed up at a party Joe and I threw, I was shocked to see him. Not only was he there but he had come alone. I couldn't stop thinking about him and all of the good times we had shared.

Towards the end of the evening, he followed me into the kitchen as I went to get a drink of water from the faucet. I had just set the empty glass in the sink and was turning around when he cornered me in front of the refrigerator.
"You look absolutely stunning," he said pushing me gently against the refrigerator.
"What are you doing here?" His eyes met mine and he looked me deep in them.
"I had to see you, Babe."  At that moment I remembered that this was the very spot he had tried to kiss me before and ma put a stop to it when she walked in unexpectedly..
"What are you thinking about?" he asked curiously taking up both of my hands slipping his fingers through them.
"I was remembering how you tried to kiss me right here on the night of my coming out party.
"I followed you in here after we danced our first slow dance.i remember it well."
"I was worried you only danced with me because my father asked you to.
"No, Babe. I danced with you because you put a spell on me." We both laughed as he brought my hands up and pressed the backs of them against the refrigerator door on either side of my head. He kissed me then as he pressed his body into my own. I could feel him trembling as he kissed me with a sense of urgency.

After that night, Gary came around again insisting on seeing me outside of the club. Needless to say, a cloud of confusion fell over me. I was living with one man and still in love with another one.
