Saving Grace with a Halo:
She wanders aimlessly strung out looking for a place to crash-
She’s outa money and she finished her stash.
She’s a skinny little girl not quite sixteen
Surviving alone on the City streets.
She’s been beaten down and been called out her name
She wishes to die to end her shame.
Little black girl- A Bastards child
Left unloved to run a-wild.
The cars drive by she’s lookin for tricks
Wanting their money needing her fix
Knowing nothing better only the game-
She’s lost all hope She’s full of shame.
Scrawny creature in the dead of night-
Ahead there’s hope and she walks towards light.
She sees the Church she walked by before-
She’s tired and sick when she enters their doors.
No questions asked of her, only a warm friendly smile
She was hoping for shelter and to stay a while.
There were homeless bums and full families-
Like broken branches off the same tree.
Everyone misplaced with a story to tell-
Finding hope through struggle and ending their Hell..
Shaking from withdrawal and needing her high
Defeated in life she wishes to die.
Then like an Angel a Nun appears
To quell her nerves and dry her tears.
“You deserve to be loved, You just need to see”
“You are right where God wants you to be”
“I hope your right” The girl says to the Nun-
“I’ve been let down by everyone.”
-There’s nobody who loves me and I hate that I’m alive-
-This is my last hope in order to survive-.
The Nun bows her head and grabs the girls hand-
“God makes no mistake with any Man”
“You’re right where you need to be”
“I’ll save your life…….Just trust in me”
Your life’s worth saving.
