Lines
Their lines are always so smooth
And mine shakey
Creased like too many years of smiles on the sides of lips and the edges of eyes
I sometimes turn up my nose to them, uninterested, sometimes even disgusted by their lack of vividness
Envious of of the softness and sharpness that others keep
But still I make them
Drawing them out between the hurried heartbeats of the too many milligrams of caffeine in my chipped coffee cup
So sad and happy at the same time
Because...
Their lines are always so smooth and mine...
Shakey
And mine shakey
Creased like too many years of smiles on the sides of lips and the edges of eyes
I sometimes turn up my nose to them, uninterested, sometimes even disgusted by their lack of vividness
Envious of of the softness and sharpness that others keep
But still I make them
Drawing them out between the hurried heartbeats of the too many milligrams of caffeine in my chipped coffee cup
So sad and happy at the same time
Because...
Their lines are always so smooth and mine...
Shakey
