All's well that ends well or, so I've heard?

Writing villanelles can be hell in words
and that's not me reading between the lines
but they are uphill battles to get heard,

It's not as if a word saved is a word earned
it's because villanelles are done by design,
writing villanelles can be hell in words.

I've never once ran with the common herd
writing these show I do not toe the line,
but they are uphill battles to get heard,

They are tough rows to hoe lines soon get blurred
then, another day another axe to grind,
writing villanelles can be hell on words,

These aren't for those who can't cut the mustard
but I've an ace up my sleeve, a word to the wise,
(they are all uphill battles to get heard,)

You'll be shaken up, even if not stirred
When you finish one with wide open eyes,
Writing villanelles can be hell on words
They are all uphill battles, to get heard.
