Shall We Pray

 

Oh lover let us meet
in the secret place
where two hearts entwine
with fervent embrace
we'll whisper our prayers
while our naked bodies clasp
Committing sweet sin
in the name of divine

as we kneel in reverence
our spirits aflame
let us taste the forbidden
 yet holy game
our hands l in prayer
yet slipping beneath
exploring the depths of our passionate sheath

in the stillness of night
our voices rise high
offering up sighs and moans
 to the sky
we'll sin together
 in the sacred space
our love aching burning
seeking God's grace

for in the ecstasy
of our forbidden love
we find a communion
a blessing from above
So let us pray and sin
intertwining our souls
as we seek salvation
in each other's folds
