Colors Of The Stars
Suppose it was a starry night
But all the stars did not burn bright
Because some of them wore green or blue
And me, myself took center stage
Declaring that it wasn't I
Who thought that it was right to pry
And mettle in someone's private life
Causing all kinds of disturbing strife
Pardon me if I go incognito
Sick to death of all that doesn't matter
Perhaps you do not even know me
Amongst all of the likes and follows
You must be aware I'm not a quitter
And life could never render me bitter
I'm all those colors in different moods
Amazed at just how far I've come
From living in a world of unknowns
If you were to look even closer
You would know that the drifting
image in the mirror
Couldn't possibly be me
But all the stars did not burn bright
Because some of them wore green or blue
And me, myself took center stage
Declaring that it wasn't I
Who thought that it was right to pry
And mettle in someone's private life
Causing all kinds of disturbing strife
Pardon me if I go incognito
Sick to death of all that doesn't matter
Perhaps you do not even know me
Amongst all of the likes and follows
You must be aware I'm not a quitter
And life could never render me bitter
I'm all those colors in different moods
Amazed at just how far I've come
From living in a world of unknowns
If you were to look even closer
You would know that the drifting
image in the mirror
Couldn't possibly be me
