Soul Searching

She too often averts her eyes
upon an impending romance...
thence to her cheek my kiss applies
to seize the most from circumstance,
and then for fair treatment I seek
each sweet sector of her fine face
on my way to the other cheek,
then back to put our lips in place
for that one kiss, much more exact,
where murmurs and their undertones
spur inspiration less abstract
than poetry for anglophones
who know when kisses will persist...
deep into someone hedonist.
