dawn

crisp wind bites against
rosy damp cheeks
she braids dewy grass with a frown

under the morning glow
her eyes hold a thousand lost ages,
but no drops will fall from them now

Venus' light is energizing
she takes a breath once held before
brushes the petals of a golden tulip

exhausted of resurrection battle
holding fast for the morning's come now
butterfly flutters ripple the universe

a plume of foggy breath
crystals fly from shaken out curls
a lonely drip slips from the corner of this world
