The Nobility of Poor
How long can you live in hell before you gag
on the smell of heaven, thinking brimstone's
fire would be much preferable to the burning
rays of the sun. Yet in our own small way, this
is true for all of us, we will never attack the
foundation of our Id, inventing excuses for a
plethora of sin. Hell is full of people refusing
to see the rippling consequences of their
transgressions, "I'm not my brother's keeper"
"it's a dog eat dog world" "Do unto others
before they do unto you". We invent new
religions absolving us of sin, making million-
aires of anyone showing us the righteousness
of avarice and greed, hating those holding up
mirrors reflecting our souls. Greed is always
greed and was never meant as creed, for one
billionaire to see a million must be blind. Yet
there is nobility for the poor of spiritual wealth,
never taking more than their due, with a heart
encompassing a thousand hands swimming
upstream in the flooding tide greed. These are
the kings no one ever sees, the people of faith
that have no religion to feed, knowing life was
never a race and winning at any cost the real sin.
We were all meant to be kings and queens.
