Meeting My Cyber Love

I realise now
that all I may have loved
about you
was your photos
and the way you text
You can never be real
Now that you're here
in person
I'm struggling to connect with you
Our love can only exist
when we're miles apart
I touch your hand
but there's no electricity
not even static
To think that I looked forward to this
The conversation is bland
Our first encounter
Such a downer
I'm afraid that I can't live up to this fallacy
You can never be real
I realise now
that we have nothing
outside of cyberspace
