a sweet warrior
with true motivation
built ford tough
we'll miss you
and your motorcycle
wheelies and cuts
rest well soldier
incredible and kind
trusting your gut
big brown eyes
goofy silly smile

This simple poem was made for a dear friend who left this world last year. His passing, along with that of 4 others, was deemed an accident. I might do a more complex poem later honoring his service.

It is and grief is an important emotion to process. I try not to let things ruminate and bother, but it's easier said than done

He is dearly missed and part of the odd string of aviation-related incidents that have been plaguing all branches over the past 3 years. There's definitely been an uptick. It hurts my gut because I work on those aircraft and my best friends fly and crew on them. Either way, hoping this particular crew is in a better place somewhere.
