Between Wolf and Sheep

Where the high hills collide
The deep long valley lies
The oak forest grows alongside
From behind the mountain rise

In the dim of the shady twilight
The pious sends celestial calls
From the godly tower afore night
Vibrant echoes thru serene halls

The full flock, now homeward coming
Treading the path of the milky way
Heavy with  ripe grass and pure air
Safely herded by a sturdy shepherd

The deep valley now holds an eerie depth
Shadows of wolf and fox and some other claws
Fangs of wild come down from the trees
Lurking for a lingering prey to be caught

it's wild, yet it's wise when Nature is law
Unhinged drive, every being is law-abiding
Heaven's rituals are wildly observed
Time for the wise to learn from the wild
