Twin Beds-with Adagio

In shadows beneath the bed
death among the bangers
listening to the curse
swallowing the dead
in shadows beneath the bed
of a zombie eating my shoes
from heel to tongue
a rigid corpse cold and glum
 
The whine of eager hunger
echoes in desolate halls
gangrenes light sweep walls
hiding the hordes of darkness
created monsters of the human mind
the safety of beds on both sides
mere desperate imagination
helpless in hopelessness
