PLEASE FORGIVE ME
YES
it hurt and
surprised me;
set me back for
awhile locking me
into a stubborn self-pity,
poor me attitude..
THEN
upon honest, reflective.
and soul searching
I realized my subtle
part in creating the issue.
I'm no saint but I realized
my part and ask for your
forgiveness.
NO!
I'm not asking you to forget
but to love me in spite of my
tendency to put my foot
in my mouth.
YES I am working on
forgiving myself....
I need OUR help.

This is so sweet & a bit sad.
It's hard to forgive ourselves, and hard to ask for it.
I find it harder to forgive myself without knowing if I have first been forgiven by the other.
I hope you are able to find peace in your self-reflections & are able to do your best to strengthen your bond with a foundation of forgiveness.
