Beautiful Things
There are
so few
beautiful things
anymore;
Here,
the sidewalks
lay broken and unsteady
by the roots of
weary grey trees with
somber leaves,
but the dandelions
scattered through the breaks
freely gaze up in awe, and,
despite their station,
are deemed beautiful
by the wide-eyed.
